On August 1, the entire Field Museum is open until 9pm! So we've created Base Camp, a pop up bar with a new theme each month that's *free* with admission. It's a place where adults can congregate as they explore the entire Museum. August's Base Camp theme is Hanging Gardens. Drink and chat with scientists under The Field’s very own hanging gardens. August’s Base Camp will explore plants from 65 million years ago, early agricultural practices, and how our conservation work is changing the shape of Chicago. We'll pair those plants with drinks from The Empty Bottle's own Meg Silvas (2013 Chicago Bartender of the Year). Plus, our friends at Garfield Park Conservatory will bring their own plant specimens and talk about the amazing work they do with plant life right here in Chicago. Guests to Base Camp must be 21 or older.
