If you answered yes to all of these questions then you should sign up to be part of 18th STREET PILSEN OPEN STUDIOS, 2017! We invite you to join us at The Surreal Rabbit for an Artist Meet Up! This is your opportunity to get all the details on the event, how to be a participant and how to get involved as a volunteer. This year is our 15th anniversary, we will feature current works from over 50 artists who primarily live and work in Pilsen. Artists' working spaces, galleries, cafes and cultural centers will open their doors during special hours for this family-friendly celebration of art, culture and community. About POS: Pilsen Open Studios has been a self sustaining annual open studios event, independently produced by artists & community volunteers for 15 years. It was started in 2003 by a group of longtime Pilsen artists, most but not all of them Latino. The focus of the event is on "studios" as the place of production, allowing the public a rare glimpse at where (and how) art in Pilsen is made. All artists involved in the event either work or live in the neighborhood, or have a strong historical connection to Pilsen. A limited number of cultural spaces /cafes in Pilsen also participate in this event to show work from Pilsen-connected artists who don't have a studio in the neighborhood. *This year's 18th STREET PILSEN OPEN STUDIOS will be held on October 21 & 22 *Registration is now open!
